Atos launches the Google Edition of its Workplace as a Service
Atos launches the “Google Edition” of its “Workplace as a Service”. This new offer includes the rental of Chromebooks, the Google G Suite, and the Atos Circuit collaboration software.
Until now, Atos’ “Workplace as a Service” was already compatible with Windows. Now, the European firm announces the “Google Edition” of its offer . It is based on the Google Cloud.
The Workplace as a Service integrates into Atos Digital Workplace connected work environment solutions . These solutions enable companies to improve the experience of their employees in the workplace, giving them more opportunities and improving their productivity.
Fruit of the partnership with Google Cloud, this new edition is presented as a bundle including the supply and support of Chromebook computers, Atos Circuit collaboration software , and the Google G Suite. It also incorporates installation, migration and administration services.
Thanks to the synergy between G Suite and Chromebooks , users can enjoy an improved experience on all devices and all applications. Their productivity and commitment are increased.
In addition, a secure “zero trust” environment prevents data leakage by requiring scrupulous verification of the identity of each person and each device trying to access resources.
In order to allow companies to optimize their costs and transform the way their employees collaborate, automation functions and virtual agents are also integrated to facilitate self-service use.
Atos Workplace as a Service Google Edition: a completely modular subscription offer
This new offer is offered by Atos in the form of a subscription . The price varies according to the options chosen by the company.
Indeed, the solution is modular and it is for example possible to subscribe to the service without opting for Circuit or for the rental of Chromebooks. Likewise, if you decide to rent a Chromebook, you can choose from different manufacturers, including Dell, Lenovo, HP and Acer.
According to Wim Los, Senior Vice President of ‘ Atos, the objective of this new edition is not to replace the 2.5 million Wokplaces as a Service on Windows already provided to clients of Atos. It is more a question of attracting a niche market which would represent approximately 20% of the user base .
The customers targeted by this offer are companies which have around a thousand users, are ready to subscribe for three years, and work in sectors such as health, transport or the municipality.
However, Wim Los recommends that all Athos customers opt for the Google Edition . For good reason, he believes that Google saves time and reduces costs compared to Microsoft Office which is more expensive and ultimately more restrictive than the G Suite. In addition, all the games used already use the G Suite on a personal basis and are therefore familiar with this software suite.
