Cisco and Google announce hybrid cloud platform
Cisco and Google Cloud announce the launch of the Cisco Hybrid Cloud platform on Google Cloud for the end of 2018. This platform will allow users of on-premises infrastructures to benefit from the advantages of the Cloud without having to give up their architectures in place.
More and more companies are adopting Cloud Computing. However, rather than migrating all of their data and workloads to the cloud, many prefer to opt for a hybrid approach combining the Cloud with on-premises infrastructures .
In order to support its customers in this transition, Google has announced the launch of the Cisco Hybrid Cloud Platform on Google Cloud for October 2018. This platform will allow companies to exploit the advantages of the Cloud to improve security and control of their existing infrastructure.
The Cisco Hybrid Cloud Platform will be available on Google Cloud in late 2018
The hybrid architecture allows applications to be run either on the public cloud or on site . This will allow users to choose which solution is best for their different applications, on a case-by-case basis.
Cisco on-premises environments can be connected to Google Cloud Platfom services such as Google Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Cloud Storage, and Pub / Sub. On-site workloads can be exposed to the Cloud via the Apigee APIs.
This new platform will be available in October 2018 on Google Cloud and Cisco , and will be supported by Cisco technical support. Several Google partners including WWT, Accenture and IGNW have already started testing this solution.
